The Newark Reds girls swim team set three school records and won ten events against Geneva in a 102 to 81 decision on October 7 in Geneva. Colleen Boyd achieved her personal goal and broke the 100 butterfly with a school record time of 1:08.82. Sarah Lewis won the 100 breast stroke with a school record time of 1:10.97. The 200 free relay team of Arden Brust, Shannon Lewis, Colleen Boyd, and Sarah Lewis also brought home a school record time of 1:48.89. Additional first place finishes were Kelly Leeuwen, 200 free, with a winning time of 2:21.3; Arden Brust, 50 free (:27.5); Kelly Oosterling, Diving (128.05); Shannon Lewis, 100 Free (55.82); Jody Flannery, 500 Free (6:02.12); and the 400 Free Relay team including Kely Leeuwen, Emily Williams, and Colleen Boyd, with a winning time of 4:18.52.
