Harvest supper in Pultneyville

The November 3 meeting of the Pultneyville Historical Society will feature the Annual Harvest Supper Buffet, to be held on in the Fellowship Room of the Pultneyville Reformed Church starting at 6:30 p.m.

Everyone is asked to bring dish to pass for the buffet, either a main dish, salad, dessert, rolls or bread, or vegetables. Please bring your own table service; coffee and tea will be provided, As always, the Harvest Supper is open for members and guests alike, and we hope to see you there.

Following the meal, PHS member and long-time Pultneyville resident John Connors will read selections from his writings to the group. John was an English teacher and Department Chair for many years at Williamson Central School and was instrumental in encouraging students to write Hoffman Essay papers during his tenure at WCS. Taking ideas from written documents and from talking with long-time residents, he crafts stories, essays and poems that take us back in time and relate to us what happened or might have happened in the lives of residents of our fair hamlet.
