Fall Foliage trains from Sodus

trainThe Rochester Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society (NRHS) is pleased to announce the eleventh year of Fall Foliage Railroad Excursions from Sodus (all profits go toward The Rochester and Genesee Valley RR Museum operating funds).

This diesel-powered 34-mile two-hour round trip using former New York Central Stainless Steel Rail Passenger Cars will leave from the Ontario Midland Railroad's Sodus Depot located on Maple Ave. (just a half mile south of Rt. 104) and travel to Newark through scenic tree lined former New York Central and Pennsylvania RR trackage.

These trips are scheduled for noon and 2:15 p.m. on Saturdays Oct. 9 and 16 and Sunday's Sept. 26, Oct. 3, 10, 17, and 24. Ticket prices are Adults $10 and Children 3-15 are $6 (children under 3 ride free if seated on adult's lap).

On Sept. 26, all children's tickets will be $3, (that represents a 50% saving off our regular child fare).

On Oct. 3, the trips will visit the 1940's with music, events, and memories from that time period in railcars that were built in 1941.

To order, mail a self addressed stamped envelope, and a check made out to: NRHS Rochester, Train Tickets-NP, P.O. Box 1161, Webster, NY 14580. List your trip choice along with your name, address, and phone #. For further info, credit card orders and ticket availability call 716.224.0581. Remaining tickets go on sale at 11 a.m. the day of the trips.
