By John Zornow

Over 25 years ago, the condition of the bank had deteriorated to a point that the Lighthouse itself was in danger. Riprap was brought in and the building was saved.

temp road at lighthouse Pictured is a temporary road, which was constructed to enable equipment to reach the shoreline.

The project will be finished in May and the area restored in time for summer Lighthouse Museum activities.
