Folk music at Williamson library

As part of 'Discover Inner Space' at the Williamson Public Library, performer Mitzie Collins will bring her folk music to the library on Tuesday, August 8 at 7 p.m. The music will be performed on hammered dulcimer, mountain dulcimer and banjo.

She has been a soloist on the hammered dulcimer with the Rochester Chamber Orchestra and the Finger Lakes Symphony Orchestra and has been a featured performer at national dulcimer festivals.

She hosted and produced children's radio programming on WXXI for 10 years and is a founding member of Golden Link Folk Singing Society. Her many recordings include St. Patrick's Day in the Morning, Be Thou My Vision, Shaker spirituals, Love is Little and Joy of Angels, as well as several holiday albums.
