Myers Golf Classic set for August 14

Final preparations are being made for the ViaHealth of Wayne Foundation Myers Golf Classic. It will be held on Monday, August 14 at Sodus Bay Heights Golf Club. Registration for the event begins at noon with a tee time of 1 p.m. and a scramble format. Play is limited to 144 golfers.

Registration fee is $95 per golfer, which includes 18 holes of golf with a cart, on course refreshments and a pig roast dinner. Other sponsorship levels are: Corporate Sponsorship, Hole Sponsorship and Cart Sponsorship. Several on-course contests are being planned including a Hole-in-One Competition sponsored by Joseph Neri Chevrolet-Oldsmobile-Pontiac of Williamson and a longest drive contest sponsored by Govener Chevrolet-Pontiac-Oldsmobile- Buick of Wolcott. Each golfer will receive a tee gift donated by McDonald's of Wayne County.

Doug Taylor is chair of this year's Golf Committee and committee members are: Liz Anderson, Bill Bolling, Melissa Colvin, Tim Gertz, Jane Johnson, John Glaser, Bill May, Max Muhleisen, Malcolm O'Malley, Laurie Thomas, and Gordon Walker.
