IEC names president and board member

Thomas Lovelock has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of IEC, effective on August 21.

Lovelock will replace Russ Stingel, who has served as President and interim Chief Executive Office since the December death of David Fradin. Stingel will remain as a Director of IEC Electronics, of Newark.

Lovelock previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Group Technologies, a subsidiary of Sypris Solutions, Inc., in Louisville, Kentucky. Sypris is a diversified provider of technology-based outsource services and specialized industrial products. Lovelock has had a 35-year career in electronics manufacturing.

Dermott O'Flanagan has been appointed to the IEC Board of Directors. He has a long career in the electronics manufacturing industry, in Ireland and the United States. Recently he was president of Dovatron International, a leading contract manufacturer, which has been acquired by Flextronics.
