Newark housing project has delicious garden

By John Zornow Everything's coming up tomatoes, (and beans and radishes), at the Newark children & garden Housing Authority Community Center on Driving Park Circle. Area children are learning how to maintain a vegetable garden, while also having summer fun. (Look at the size of those sunflowers.)

Donna Johnson of Cornell Cooperative Extension, is instructing the young gardeners on how to properly water the veggies.

In addition, a nutritious breakfast and lunch is available in the Driving Park Community Center for area children through the efforts and sponsorship of Head Start, Finger Lakes Legal Aid and The Newark Housing Authority. Although the program is geared towards low income families, it is open to all area children.
