Marion SOC wants members

The Marion SOC (Supporting Our Children) group has announced a new program.

SafeHomes provides a healthy, positive environment for children to gather and have fun without the danger of drugs or other risks being present.

There is no time commitment required of parents; it is simply a pledge that states if even your home is the place of a party or teen gathering, there will be no alcohol or drugs allowed and parental supervision will be provided at all times.

SOC is looking for new members to join their group. It meets the second Tuesday of each month at the high school library. The next meeting is scheduled for September 12 at 7 p.m.
