Wayne County Fair opens today

PepsiThe Wayne County Fair opens today in Palmyra.

Harness racing begins at noon today, the rides open at 3, and there'll be a Demolition Derby tonight at 8.

There's entertainment nearly all day Tuesday - tap dancing to Rock and Roll. Judging of the Pie Contest begins at 7 p.m. (The pies will be auctioned at 8.)

Wednesday, the usual fun continues, and there's wrestling at 7:30; country music at 8.

Thursday is Grange Day, and includes the famous 'Celebrity Goat Milking Contest' at 6 p.m. More country music at 8 p.m., and another Demolition Derby, also at 8.

On Friday, don't miss the big parade at 7 p.m., downtown Palmyra. Return to the Fair Grounds at 8:30 p.m. for Rock & Roll.

On Saturday, younger parade enthusiasts will have a chance to show their stuff at the 4-H Kiddie Parade at 10 a.m. Registration and line-up begin at 9:30 a.m. on the track at the Palmyra fairgrounds.
