NASCAR race champion Jeff Gordon may have been racing at The Glen yesterday, but this number 24 Monte Carlo was parked at the Newark Wal-Mart. The Pepsi Racing team sponsored the visit, which included a Pepsi Pit Stop, for motorists to drive through - a quick window wash and a 'goodie bag' and out they went. Racing souvenirs and Gordon collectibles were on sale.

Gordon, three-time defending champion of the race at Watkins Glen, lost yesterday to Steve Park.

The next Winston Cup race is next Sunday, August 20 - the Pepsi 400 at Michigan Speedway.
