Can you believe the thunderstorms we've had?! I watched the lightning the other night and thought about getting out my camera, but found I'm not that brave.

Happy belated birthday to Doug Clark, his birthday August l0.

Head down to 30 Smith St. today from 9 to 3 for the Sodus Lioness Club Garage Sale.

Helen Phillips has been really busy. She spent some time visiting her sisters at their cottage on Cayuga Lake. Her sister Betty is from Maryland and Shirley is from Spencerport. The three went to Casino Niagara. Helen said they had left all their money to help out the Canadians. Helen's son, David, and his family came up to visit during the summer for l0 days. Babies do grow awfully fast, don't they? Helen's been working at the Sodus Point visitor's center a couples days a week and volunteering at the Sodus Point Lighthouse. Stop in and ask her directions sometime. (I'm glad to hear you're enjoying yourself, Helen.)
