Happenings Rich and Mary Adriaansen have returned form a 10-day trip to Olympia, Washington, where they spent time with a cousin and family. They toured around each day, spent time at Wolfhaven (wolf sanctuary), shopped at the Public Market, where they purchased fresh salmon. They enjoyed lunch on the pier overlooking Puget Sound, and took a trip to Mount Ranier, as far as 'Paradise.' THANKS ! to the three folks who informed me about the 'Dutchman's Pipe' plant. I really appreciate the information. Mina Pembroke is presently residing at the DeMay Living Center in Newark. Birth announced: Steve and Jackie Brown announce the arrival of Amy Susan Ann, born on August 1, weighing 7 lbs. 15 oz. She has two brothers, Zachary and Jeffrey. Grandparents are Gerald and Barbara Brown, whose grandchildren now number 14 (seven girls, seven boys). Amy Susan Ann is the first granddaughter for Dale and Sue VerPlank. Lillian Cherrier of Drumlin Estates has recently returned from Lansdale, PA, where she was part of a group of 400 singers in concert. They toured the historic parts of Philadelphia and many interesting sites. The Legion baseball sponsors will have a booth at the festival tomorrow. Dorothy was working on this lovely creation during our Netherlands trip earlier this year.
