December concert at Newark church

Newark Community Choir will present a holiday concert on Saturday, Dec. 16 at 7 p.m. It will be held at the Newark First United Methodist Church.

The 25-voice choir is directed by Peter Derse, choral director in the Wayne Central School District. The accompanist for the concert is Mary Lou Shoemaker. The choir is now in its seventh year.

Among the 12 selections are An Irving Berlin Christmas, December Child, Mary Had a Baby, Three Noels and Grown Up Christmas List.

The public is cordially invited to this free concert. A freewill offering will be taken.
