Arcadia Historical Society news

The Arcadia Historical Society meets tonight, Wednesday, Dec. 6, at 7:30 p.m. at the Arcadia Museum, 120 High St., Newark.

Brooks McKinney, a professor at Hobart and William Smith College, will talk about cobblestone structures - their appearance, building methods, etc. He will accompany his remarks with slides, and begin with slides of Arcadia's cobblestones.

The Museum and Gift Shop will be open, and refreshments will be served after the program. For further info, phone 331.4078 or 6409.

The museum is featuring a special exhibit, The C.H. Stuart Co. from Stuart Bros. Nursery to Sarah Coventry.

The Arcadia Museum is open Saturdays, year-round, from 1-3 p.m., and by appointment. Groups are welcome anytime. Call for info. Chris Davis, President - 331.4078
