Newark's tree-lighting ceremony

Last Friday night, community members gathered in Newark Central Park to view the annual tree-lighting. The Greater Newark Chamber of Commerce and the Village of Newark host the event, which includes caroling, hot chocolate and cookies.

Pictured here are the Stu and Julie Blodgett family;

Former Village Trustee Gary Lagenor and his wife, Diana, who serves as the Chamber Vice President;

and Santa Claus himself, who welcomed visitors at the Alex Eligh Community Center, following the tree-lighting.
