Happenings On December 9, the Marion Business Community will sponsor Christmas in Marion with lots of special events. The United Church's Carillon will play throughout the day. The Community Christmas Program will be held December 18, at 7:30 p.m. at the High School. Tom and Joanne Porter of Philadelphia were guests at the home of their daughter, Pastor Don and Judy White and grandchildren, Leah and Bonnie. Pearl Dey has undergone surgery and is recuperating at the DeMay Living Center. 18 family members gathered at the home of Ina Benton last weekend for a family Christmas party. A nice way to start the holiday season. Don Luteyn Sr. was the winner of the Marion coverlet offered by the Marion Historic Association during the Marion Harvest Festival and the Holiday Open House at our Museum. Canaltown Chorale concert is Sunday at 4 p.m. at the Park Presbyterian Church on Maple Court in Newark. The 4 p.m. concert is directed by Gregg Christianson. December 11 - Library Luncheon and Travelogue at the Palmyra Public Library on Cuyler St., Palmyra. Reservations for lunch call 597.5276. Speakers will be Tom and Dixie Prittie. 'When the going gets too easy, you may be going downhill.' December 8 (today) Christmas at Shoeshine Johnnies in Sodus, 7-8:30 p.m. December 10 - Children's Christmas Program and Potluck dinner at 5:30 p.m. JOY TO THE WORLD Program at 7 p.m. at United Church of Marion. DECEMBER 12, 1957: Anson Marshall, freight agent for the Pennsylvania Railroad, will hold his annual Children's Party at the railroad station, Friday, December 20.
