Sodus church plans Christmas cantata

Bible Baptist Church of Sodus will present the Christmas Cantata 'Welcome to Our World' on December 15 and 17 at 7 p.m. The public is invited to both concerts, which include contemporary choir, children's choir, praise team, solos, and drama.

The narrators look at a hurting world that was longing for a Savior, and gather the listener around the manger to welcome the Child who is the answer to that longing. The title song, written by recording artist Chris Rice, is the centerpiece of the musical, while the popular worship song Come, Now is the Time to Worship focuses the listener on the reason for celebrating Christmas.

Traditional carols with contemporary arrangements have also been woven into the fabric of the musical. Nursery care is provided.
