Wanted: Master Gardeners

Cornell Cooperative Extension in Wayne County is offering Master Gardener Training in return for volunteer work.

Volunteer Master Gardeners are first trained by Cornell Specialists and Cooperative Extension Educators, and then they assist county residents with diagnosing garden problems, general gardening questions, soil pH tests and teach garden workshops.

Applications are now being accepted. If you have 8 hours a month to serve as a Master Gardener volunteer, call 315.331.8415 for a complete volunteer job description and application.

Classes begin January 31 and run through April.

Once the application is received, an interview time will be scheduled with Dave Reville, Master Gardener Coordinator.
