I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. (I'm still picking up pieces of wrapping paper from the floor.) We wrapped presents for Sarah and Caesar - hilarious to watch them open. Of course the presents were edible and easy to smell through the wrapping paper.

If you're through with celebrations, you can recycle your Christmas Tree at the Sodus Town Barns on Rotterdam Rd. from January 1 through Jan. 7. (Please put your tree in the designated area.)

In Florida, Ralph Everdyke and his wife had dinner with Ron and Kay VanCamp to celebrate her birthday. Ron and Kay are also from Newark.

I received a note from Norm Harris, from Ontario, who is now living in Davenport, Florida. Eileen Hooper also lives in Davenport, so I assume Norm sees the hot air balloons every morning and the fireworks every night, since he and his wife live 6 miles from Disney.

I'm always mentioning Al Dobbin who used to live next door to me in Sodus. Apparently, Al's light shines on everyone's life in one way or another. Norm new him in the late 1940's. He worked with Al at the Cold Storage in Sodus and remembered the great entertainment Al provided for them while they hauled apples for Wooster Fruit Farms. (Now, Al do you remember the guy who overloaded the elevator? He remembers you.) Norm mentioned that Christmas Day looked promising - 60 degrees, warm and sunny. (Similar to our day, don't you think?)

It's nice to see so many people from Florida read the column. I've met a lot of pen-pals.

Write to me (fill me in on your Al Dobbin - he makes friends wherever he goes!)

Have a great week and have a Happy New Year!
