Arts Councils opens new exhibit

Opening Friday, February 4 at the Arts Council is Lyons native Robert Paliotti's Full Circle: A Trip Around the World. These photographs were taken during his 14-month world tour which ended early last year.

An opening reception is planned from 7-9 p.m. The Friday event is free and refreshments will be served. The public is cordially invited to attend.

"Photography and travel are very important to me," noted Paliotti. "I like traveling to different places and recording the cultures, rituals, and customs. And then I like to educate people through my work."

"We are very fortunate to be able to host Bob's first solo exhibition," said Arts Council Interim Director Kit Fallon. "This is more than just a travelogue. His work is beautiful and thought-provoking. Some are just haunting."

"I'm trying to preserve what is there," added Paliotti. "Who knows if these things will still be there in the future."

Full Circle is on display until February 29.
