County Fair Pageant set for April 28 The 21st annual Wayne County Fair Queen/Princess Pageant is Friday, April 28 at Marion High School at 7 p.m. The pageant is an opportunity for girls 12-17 from all over Wayne County to compete for Queen or Princess and Courts. The pageant emphasizes public speaking and the ability to communicate effectively to the public. All contestants end up winners, as they meet new friends, gain self-confidence and learn to present themselves to an audience. The Queen, Princess and Court make public appearances and preside over the Aug. 14-19 County Fair (in Palmyra). Applications may be obtained through your school office or by calling Gerry Dekdebrun at 926.4926. Applications must be submitted by March 6. Copyright © 2000 |
