Funds totaling $22,000 from the New York State Council on the Arts will be given out in the form of Decentralization Grants by the Arts Council. This will take place at the Decentralization Awards Ceremony on Feb. 20 at 1 p.m. at the office/gallery at 2 Broad St., Lyons. Recipients are Wayne County based not-for-profit organizations who successfully applied to this annual competitive program. Awards checks will be distributed at this event. The public is invited to join in the celebration. There is no cost and refreshments will be served 'Out of 26 grant applications, we were able to fund these 21,' noted Arts Council Decentralization Coordinator Heidi Lux Santelli.
