Happenings Melissa Wilson, daughter of Gary and Barb Wilson, is on the Dean's List at Nazareth College in Rochester. She has been admitted to Phi Eta Sigma, the national Freshman Honor Society and to the Honors Program at Nazareth. She is majoring in speech pathology. In honor of the first birthday of Adam Joel, Jason and Jenny Cantwell celebrated with a party at Adam's great-grandmother's - Flora Straight, who lives on Quaker Road. Family members at the party included grandparents Gene and Debbi Sherman, and Joyce Cantwell. The United Church Mission Committee reports that they met the goal of raising enough funds to purchase 40 blankets. Thanks for your caring concern. Donations may still be made. Our #1 son has three broken bones in his left foot. I am calling it his 'spring break.' 'You don't stop laughing because you grow old; you grow old because you stop laughing.' Martha Florance is presently residing at the Blossom View Nursing Home in Sodus. Howard Dahlberg is recovering at home after being in the hospital. A baby is born - Congratulations to David and Kim Wise on the Feb. 14 birth of Jason Daniel, who weighed 7 lbs. 7 oz. Congratulations to grandparents Rodney and Karen Wise of Marion, Clarence and Judy Rogers of Blanchard, OK, and great-grandparents Ann Wise, and Dan and Mary Brothers. FEBRUARY 28, 1924 - The WCTU White Ribbon Tea at the Baptist Church was held. The country people were unable to attend due to blocked roads. Essay prize awards were made to Francis Shoales, Florence Beale, Leona Boerman and Min VanGee. Evelyn VerPlank enjoyed company and phone calls on her birthday on the 17th.
