Helen Bishop-Santelli exhibit to open

An exhibit entitled "Recent Works" by Finger Lakes Community College adjunct professor Helen Bishop Santelli will be on display at Fine Arts Gallery 34 at the College's Canandaigua campus from February 3 through March 3. An opening reception will be held on Thursday, February 3 at 1 p.m.

"Santelli's recent work tends toward realism, but has an energetic expressionism about it," said Wayne Williams, director of the Gallery and FLCC professor of art. "Nature is her current subject."

Santelli, of Lyons, attended Pratt Institute and earned her bachelor's degree in fine arts from Syracuse University and her master's degree in fine arts from the Rochester Institute of Technology. She has participated in solo and group exhibitions throughout New York state. In 1999, she received the Individual Artists Tier Decentralization Award from the Wayne County Council for the Arts. Her work can be found in many collections including those of the Hallmark Company, Rochester Institute of Technology, Xerox Corporation, and Lyons National Bank.

Fine Arts Gallery 34 is open Monday though Thursday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The College and the Gallery will be closed on Monday, February 21 for President's Day. For more information, please contact the Office of College Relations at 716.394.3500, ext. 231
