Volunteers needed for Newark MS Walk

The Upstate New York Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society is seeking volunteers for its annual MS Walk on Sunday, April 9. Volunteers can work at one of 13 MS Walk sites including Newark, Canandaigua, Geneseo, Greece, Rochester and Webster.

"Volunteers are key to the success of the MS Walk," said MS Walk Chairperson and HSBC Senior Vice President Thomas Muller. "We always rely on their hard work and dedication to make this event possible. Whether they register walkers, host snack stations and rest stops, patrol the route, distribute information, or clean up after the event, volunteers contribute to a successful Walk."

The MS Walk is the Upstate New York Chapter's largest fundraising event of the year. The chapter expects to raise over $475,000 at this year's MS Walk. Proceeds from the event are used to support programs and services to the over 4000 individuals with MS in Upstate New York.

If you are interested in volunteering for the MS Walk, call the Upstate New York Chapter at 716.271.0801 ext. 5333 or toll free at 877.869.6677 ext. 5333.
