Marion sudents raise $$ for Food Pantry

Students at all Marion schools raised money in December for the Penny Fund Drive. The National Honor Society sponsors the Penny Drive, which benefits the Food Pantry.

Honor Society President Merle Salisbury led the skits, Adrienne Van Horn did the announcing, Molly Angie was music coordinator, and the Jazz Ensemble played holiday music.

The elementary students collected $1573, led by Mrs. Bushart's class with $183.41. Close behind in second place was Mrs. Gardner's class with $182.60.

At the high school: Seniors had $322, grade 7 raised $155, grade 8 had $154, grade 9 with $131, grade 11 with $103, grade 10 with $81. The total raised by all students in the district is $2519.
