Students take part in drug quiz The annual Wayne County Eckerd Drug Quiz Show will be held Tuesday, February 15 at the Quality Inn in Newark. Gananda, Lyons, Marion, Newark, Palmyra-Macedon, Sodus, and Williamson students will compete in a game-show style competition to test their knowledge of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs. The Wayne County champions will compete this spring in Syracuse. The Wayne County Eckerd Drug Quiz show is an interactive Substance Abuse Prevention Activity that educates young people about the dangers of drug abuse and helps students develop positive social skills and peer refusal skills to promote healthy drug-free lifestyles. The local event is coordinated by Kerry Taft, Educational Coordinator, Council on Alcoholism & Other Chemical Dependencies of the Finger Lakes, in cooperation with the Wayne County Stop DWI program.
