Another week of summer vacation and already the kids are getting panicky because they feel it's almost over. Time does fly when you're having fun.

Did you go to the Point for the Fourth of July festivities? There was Breakfast on the Bluff, the 5K run, Gap Mangione and his Big Band, plenty of fun for everyone. These photographs are compliments of John Zornow, President of the Sodus Bay Historical Society (and Courier-Gazette colleague). If you missed the July 4 concerts that kicked off the Sunday Summer Concert series...

Bring along your lawn chairs and a cool ice tea or lemonade to relax at the Point on Sunday, July 9. At 3 p.m. the Finger Lakes Symphony Pops Orchestra will be playing for your enjoyment.

Happy Birthday to Jimmy Malone and a belated birthday to Pam Dolan.

sodus point july 4 run At the Williamson Library on Tuesday, July 11, Blast Off with Destination Planet Library. There will be all sorts of stories, songs, skits, magic and a big blue puppet named George. Robin says to be prepared for a close encounter of fun kind in the Space Galaxy Program.

Did you sign up for the Summer Program at the Sodus Library? You still have time to get in on the fun.

On Saturday, July 8 the Williamson All Alumni Picnic will be held at B. Forman park in Pultneyville from 2-6 p.m.

Sunday, July 9, Tom Seiling will be performing at the Wolcott Northrup Park Gazebo. Tom is a folk singer/songwriter whom you have seen at the Williamson Library in the past. Tom will be at the park beginning at 3 p.m.

Did you know Dr. Howard? His daughter is looking for any information you may have for a book she is writing about him. If you knew Dr. George Howard and can be of help to his daughter, please contact Katherine at 716.338.3822 or email her at khatn@aol.com or write to her at: 95 Walzford Rd. Rochester, NY l4622. Anything you can add would be greatly appreciated.

Diane Phillips is recuperating after having surgery on her hand/wrist. She had the surgery on Thursday. Get well soon, Diane. You'll be making baskets and gift flower pots again before you know it. But for now, take it easy and relax.
