Montezuma Complex needs your help

Anyone interested in helping with the recreational/educational functions of the Montezuma Wetlands Complex should attend the Recreation Committee meeting scheduled for July 18.

The meeting will be held in the Refuge Visitor Center at 6:30 p.m.

Listed here are the activities and events that this meeting will cover.

Empire Farm Days (August 8-10) Seneca Falls, help operate a Friends booth within the NYSDEC tent.

Federation of NYS Bird Clubs Annual Meeting (September 8 and 9) Holiday Inn, Waterloo; operate a Friends table in the Holiday Inn.

Montezuma Muckrace (September 16) Montezuma Wetlands Complex - Help with refreshments, tallying sheets and awards ceremony.

National Hunting and Fishing Days (September 22-24) in Avon, - operate a Friends booth.

National Wildlife Refuge Week (October 8-14) - organize activities / programs to celebrate NWR week.

Guided Tours For the Public - schedule and lead public programs such as: Nature, bird and wildflower walks, canoe tours, nest box workshops, eagle watches, bird feeding programs, landscaping for wildlife, and photography workshops.
