Charities will compete through local corn maze

On July 21, representatives from 12 charitable organizations will be the first to venture through a brand new Amazing Maize Maze at Long Acre Farms in Macedon. The team that completes a set of challenges and reaches the Victory Bridge in the fastest time wins the 'pot of gold' - a cash donation of at least $2500. Businesses are invited to sponsor this inaugural event to boost the contribution fund.

The Maze opens to the public on July 22 and 23. Long Acre Farms will donate $2 from admission to the Fellowship Charity Challenge winner.

World's Largest Living Sundial - almost five acres of corn; twenty-one 'rays' are set to line up with the sun on Labor Day. On September 4, the shadow cast by each corn hedge will be in exact alignment on its designated hour.

Last year Long Acre Farms raised almost $3000 for Rotary Camp ONSEYAWA and in 1998 representatives from Wayne County townships competed for donations to their local food pantry.
