Annual memorial motorcycle run

On Sunday, August 6, Finger Lakes Chapter B of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association will hold its annual memorial motorcycle run. The run is held in honor of Bill Henline of Port Gibson, a longtime motorcycle enthusiast and owner of Cycle Genesis. He passed away in October 1997 following a long battle with leukemia.

This year's event will be a dice run, which will begin at the Port Gibson Fireman's Field with registration from 10 a.m. until noon. The run will cover approximately 75 miles and return to the Fireman's Field, where games and live entertainment by new country artist Greg Walker will be offered. Cash prizes, raffles and door prizes will also be available.

A registration fee of $9 per person will include a hot dog, soda and chips.

Each year following the run, Chapter B has made a substantial contribution, in Henline's memory, to the Hemotology Unit at Strong Memorial Hospital. The club has donated annually to the Ronald McDonald House, The Strong Children's Fund and the House of John in Clifton Springs.

All modes of transportation are invited to participate. Further information is available from chapter director, Terry Halsteed at 926.0434 or assistant director, Bill Stout at 539.8606.
