The weather is beginning to feel more like summer, and is it ever going fast! Has everyone enjoyed the Summer Reading Programs at the libraries? The Reading Programs are always fun with so many things to do.

The column is coming to you this week from Syracuse. We're here for the Antique Car Show. (Or is it called Vintage now a days?) I'll check the parking lot and try to get some pictures of the cars for you. I know there are many antique car buffs out there.

sarah & caesar Sarah and Caesar are vacationing at the kennel. (Good thing the kennels are used to Caesar beeping the horn.) We went to a Dog Show the other day and saw dogs that made Sarah look small... and that's tough to do!

You can find Family Night Space Bingo at the Williamson Library this Wednesday, August 2 at 7 p.m. It's fun , free and easy to play. A great way to spend time with the family and win cool prizes, too.

Do you have any information about Ada Cattieu? She was the daughter of Levi and Jennie Cattieu and married to John Russell McClain. Ada passed away in l925 and is buried in the Sodus Cemetery. Her son , Jack McCain would be grateful if you could help him with any information about his Mom. You can e-mail him at jrm300@juno.com or you could write to him at :

Jack McClain, 300 Orchard Dr., Granville,OH 43023

Any information would be helpful.

Don't forget to say 'hi' to the people of the Sodus Chamber of Commerce and volunteers helping out at the Sodus Point LYRA festivities on August 5 . The Chamber of Commerce meeting was July 27. The next meeting will be in September. I'll keep you posted.

If you're out and about, don't forget the Barn Sale the Sodus Boy Scout Troop #111 is having on Saturday, August 5 and Sunday, August 6 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 5647 Buerman Rd. in Sodus. Hot dogs and soda are available while you browse.

Mark your calendars - Sodus Fireman Field Days will be held August 2 - August 5.

Also, don't forget the concert at the Point on Sundays. They're relaxing and fun. The atmosphere is the best you can get - sunny skies, peaceful water and, of course, the boats. Bring your friends and enjoy the day together.

Diane Phillips is still recovering from her surgery, the stitches were taken out of her hand on Monday.

more bunnies Write to me and tell me what prizes your kids win at the Bingo game. Tell me about the fun things youve won during the Summer Reading Programs. Thank you to everyone who has sent me information. It is greatly appreciated. If you have any information you'd like to share, please write to me at

I'm looking forward to hearing from you.

Have a great week, enjoy the sunshine and read some really great books. (Have you read the new Harry Potter Book?)
