Car fire in Newark; vehicle totalled
A 3:30 p.m. car fire at 333 Grace Ave., Newark this afternoon destroyed a late model Lincoln owned by Ruth Clark of Wayland, New York.
The fire was at the Robert Parmiter residence, where Mrs. Clark had just arrived in Newark to attend the graduation of her
grandaughter, Alisa Parmiter. No one was injured in the fire that threatened another vehicle in the driveway.
Mrs. Clark's travelling clothes were still in the vehicle, and pulled from the car after the fire was extinguished.

Newark High School graduation ceremonies are tonight.
