Newark Rod and Gun Club

The Newark Rod and Gun Club is looking forward to a new Archery Season with the opening of its Archery Practice Range on March 19. The Club will also be hosting a number of 3-D Archery events this spring and summer.

The Practice Range has a number of new shooting lanes, as well as new target faces and is open to members seven days a week from dawn to dusk. Non-members should check in at the Club House and join, for $15 per year.

A Spring 3-D league will begin on March 26 and continue Sundays through May 7 (with the exception of Easter Sunday April 23). The cost will be $8 per week for members and $9 for non-members. The course is open from 9 until noon. This league will be open to all, members and non-members and is set up with the bowhunter in mind - a mix of Small Game and Whitetail targets not over 30 yards.

There will also be three 3D Tournaments at the Newark Rod & Gun Club as part of the Seven Nations 3D League this season. The Seven Nations 3D League Tournaments take place at a number of archery clubs and Pro-Shops throughout central New York.

The dates for the Newark shoots are April 16, June 18 and August 20. These Tournaments will consist of more targets and longer yardage than the weekly league.
