Missing Sodus
By Melissa White

Wow, the weather has been such a mix of good and wintry, it's difficult to know what to do next. During the nice weather, I took down the curtains, now it's winter again and the spring spirit is gone. The kids are sick of the winter coats but know they'll freeze without them. One minute everyone is riding a bike, the next minute you're on a sled. I don't know that the flowers must think. And what about all the birds who flew up from the South?

Congratulations to Aria Gelina who took 1st place in the Girl Scout Bake Offs. Great job! (It would be nice to have a copy of the award-winning recipe. Everyone loves coffee cake - with or without the coffee.)

walkwayAl Dobbin is doing well after surgery on his right eye. His daughter Sue Ellen says he can see really well. (Al, I'm sure some homemade chocolate chip cookies could have helped speed recovery.)

The Sodus Central School Class of 1975 will be having their 25th Year Reunion on July 29 at the Normandy Inn. Classmates are requested to contact Ray Coloumbe or Dan Doyle.

The Sodus Go-Getters will meet March 23 at the Sodus United Methodist Church. The noon dish-to-pass luncheon will feature a slide presentation by Ed Everson's travels to Switzerland.

The Sodus Lenten Breakfast on Wednesday, March 22 will be at the Church of the Epiphany. Breakfast begins at 6:45 a.m.

That night, the Williamson seniors will attend a dress rehearsal (and dinner) for the school production of Music Man. Others can catch the performance next Friday and Saturday nights.

Also on March 22, you can register your kids for Sodus Recreation Soccer. Sign up at the High School Field House lobby from 5-8 p.m. If you don't have kids, how about volunteering to be a coach or assistant? Call Jim Gray at 483.4547 for more info.

skyMark your calendar for the March 27 Blood Drive at the Williamson Methodist Church, East Main St., from 3-7 p.m. If you've never donated, please consider it.
