NHS Bowl-a-thon

The Newark High School National Honor Society held its annual fundraiser on March 19. More than 70 members participated in the bowl-a-thon to raise money for the Humane Society of Wayne County. Students received pledges for over $1100 for their bowling efforts. The students all paid for their own bowling and spent the evening having fun.

National Honor Society Advisor Sherry Williams was excited about the event. 'All the kids did a great job preparing and participating in the fundraiser. They were more than willing to help.' Also on hand at the bowling alley to help were Joan Breisch and Bill and Joan Clark.
