The Youth Group at the United Church is collecting nickel-return bottles and cans on an ongoing basis to help fund the expenses of those who are hoping to attend this summer's' mission's WORKCAMP at Standing Rock Indian Reservation, North Dakota. Arrangements can be made to have your cans and bottles picked up by calling the church office at 926.5501.

Remember: the upcoming Marion 8th Grade Pasta Supper, March 31 from 4:30-6:30.

Community Carnival is March 24 at 6:30.

Rich and Mary Adriaansen traveled to Niagara Falls, where they payed a visit to the casino and stayed in a lovely room overlooking the historic Niagara Falls.

Ellen Rich participated in a 'Day of Fun, A Day of Learning, Centered around Food and Fitness.' The date was Saturday, March 18 at the Geneva High School in Geneva. This workshop discussed techniques in food judging.

We received an envelope from the American Institute for Cancer Research. We support the American Cancer Society and the Finger Lakes Community Cancer Center in Clifton Springs.

MARCH 27, 1958: The Marion Central Cagers turned in a sparkling performance to wrest the 'B' crown from Ollie Cook's Bulldogs of Phelps who went all the way a year ago for hoop glory in their division.

The Marion Winter Sports Awards Ceremony will be held on March 28 at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium. This is a change from the school calendar. Parents and community members are invited to attend.

Eighth grade Science Fair is March 30 at 7 p.m.

All County Basketball - the All County teams have been introduced and Steve Schutt has been named to the first team, and Ted Kearns to the third team. Merle Salisbury was honored by Special Mention. Matt Smith received Honorable Mention.
