Tech Center to hold Middle School Skills Day

The Wayne Technical and Career Center, Williamson, will host six area Wayne County Schools at their first annual Middle Schools Skills Competition, March 28, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. There are 219 students registered from Clyde-Savannah, Sodus, Marion, North Rose-Wolcott, Newark and Lyons.

Middle school students will be earning participation certificates and bronze, silver and gold medals in 16 competitions such as Circuit Assembly, Health Bowl Quiz, Applied Math, Crime Investigation, Dog Bathing, Electrical Wiring, and Creating a Magazine Ad.

In addition to learning the technical trades, all Middle School Students will earn points toward total school scores. The highest total school points will earn a plaque and trophy.
