Pine Hill Orchards will open

Pine Hill Orchards Farm Market will open for the season April 15. There will be an Open House, beginning with Country Breakfast and continuing throughout the day with free homemade goodies and entertainment. The market is located on Route 14 three miles north of Lyons (about mid-way between NY State thruway exit 42 and Sodus Point on Lake Ontario).

There's fresh homegrown produce in season, including asparagus, strawberries, sweet and tart cherries, raspberries, blackberries, apricots, peaches, nectarines, plums, tomatoes, peppers, sweet corn, potatoes, onions , pumpkins, squash and cut flowers.

From the 'scratch' bakery come delicious fruit pies, breads, donuts and cookies. In addition, there are fresh homemade jams and jellies and a large supply of bulk foods.

The best description of the market is 'Country Style' with a spacious porch on three sides. There's always room to relax in the rocking chair of your choice. Inside is the restaurant and display area - the oak floor, knotty pine ceiling and walls finished with wood create a warm inviting atmosphere.

There is a need for the Country Experience: A day trip getaway to enjoy good food, friendly service, a clean smoke-free environment, a hayride tour of the orchard or just rocking on the porch. Everyone is welcome at Pine Hill Orchards.
