Program on Pultneyville How often do you drive north on Lake Avenue from Williamson and reaching the 'Y' - bear either left on Hamilton Street, or right onto Jay Street? What structures do you notice as you travel to home, work or play? Jamie Peters has captured some of these structures on film, and researched their past, and will present a narrated 'tour' for the April 5 meeting of the Pultneyville Historical Society. The meeting will be held at the WCTA federal Credit Union at 10 Benton Place (just off Route 88 South) in Sodus and will begin at 7:30 p.m. Park in the rear of the building and use the rear/employee entrance. Jamie is a senior at Williamson Central School and the daughter of Jim and Laurie Peters. She resides with her parents and sister, Anna, on the 'Church Road Farms' owned by her family. Jamie has been accepted at Cornell University, where she will begin her studies in Communication Systems and Technology in the fall. She is the granddaughter of Town Historian Chet and Pearl Peters, and wants to publicly thank her Grandfather/Mentor for all of his help, assistance and resources as she worked from October to January with him on this project. Jamie is planning to write a Hoffman Paper on this topic for submission this spring. The meetings of the Pultneyville Historical Society are open to the public and all are invited to attend. Following a short business meeting, refreshments will be served. There is no charge for attending this meeting. Copyright © 2000 |
