Snedeker named GM of Heluva Good

John 'Jay' Snedeker, of Newark, has been named general manager of Heluva Good Cheese Inc. in Sodus. He will continue his present responsibilities as vice president of sales.

Snedeker's responsibilities include all corporate reporting for operations, logistics, human resources, procurement and accounting. He joined Heluva Good in 1981 as sales and division manager in the Allentown, PA sales office. He was appointed sales manager for the Sodus division in 1987 and was promoted to corporate director of operations in 1993.

In 1994 he became senior division manager for the Sodus, Ohio and Canadian divisions and was promoted to director of national sales in 1997, and to vice president sales in 1999.

Snedeker resides in Newark with his wife, Kathy and daughter, Gretchen.

Heluva Good, a division of Crowley Foods, Inc., is a subsidiary of Wessanen USA and Koninklijke Wessanen Netherlands.

The company, with five U.S. and Canadian sales divisions, distributes cheese and dips throughout 20 states and Canada.
