It wasn't as warm as the week when we had almost 70 degrees, but at least it isn't snowing. It does say spring on the calendar, doesn't it?

Eileen Hooper, who now lives in Florida went to a Strawberry Festival with her Mom and they saw Kenny Rogers. Eileen's Mom will be moving closer to Eileen and family. Eileen says the weather has been about 80-85 during the day. (I'll take 60's and 70's for right now.)

Scouts in Sodus have been busy. Carl Fitzsimmons and the boys returned from a trip to Rock Ventures recently.

sunsetNext Saturday, Boy Scout Troop 125 will hold a Bottle Drive and Car Wash at Breen's IGA. Mark April 8 on your calendar.

I received a message from Ralph Everdyke who had attended a meeting in Bradenton, Florida for Wayne County residents. There were approximately l50 people in attendance. It must have been fun to see people you haven't seen in a few years. Ralph is originally from Newark. He said to say hi to Leroy Dodge, whom he believes now lives in Sodus. The two had graduated from Williamson School together. If you're reading this, Leroy: 'Hi' from Ralph.

Brian Hooper had a birthday March 26. Happy Birthday, Brian.

pultneyville homeThe Williamson Library will begin Storytime again soon. Register at the Library for the Pre-k storytimes, 589.2048. The library has some new books for you and your children to enjoy.

Congratulations to the library on being completely automated. (I'm going to need to get another library card.)

Mary Beth Boudrez, formerly of Sodus Point, wrote to me and told me that she and the children are doing well. She is going to school to become a teacher. Congratulations, Mary Beth. You go, girl.

Jamie Peters will present a narrated 'tour' for the April 5 meeting of the Pultneyville Historical Society. Jamie is the granddaughter of Town Historian Chet Peters. The meeting will be held at the WCTA, Benton Place (just off Route 88 South), Sodus and will begin at 7:30 p.m. Park in the rear of the building and use the rear/employee entrance.

Williamson Senior Citizens will meet Wednesday, April 5 at the Legion at 5:30 p.m. Bring a dish to pass, your own table service and drink. You'll enjoy a program about the Trains & Trolleys of Wayne County.

schoolhouse gift shopThe School House Country Store in Sodus, invites you to The Boyds Collection 'Spring Tea Party' Saturday April 8, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. All the Bears and Hares are getting ready for tea time. There will be refreshments served (tea of course) and door prizes. Also, the Drew Candle Company will be on hand, displaying spring time scented candles, with a gift for everyone! The School House is located at the Corner of Lake and Maxwell Roads in Sodus, on The Seaway Trail.

Remember to send me information about what you've been up to. It's fun to share with others and they do enjoy reading about the area. I'm looking forward to hearing from you
