County Historical Society plans dinner

The annual meeting of the Wayne County Historical Society will be held May 10, at Burnham's Canalside, 125 N. Main St. (in the Quality Inn), Newark. Social hour begins at 6 with dinner served at 6:30.

The menu is sliced roast beef, chicken, oven-browned potatoes, vegetable, shells in meat sauce, tossed salad, other salads, rolls, dessert, coffee and tea.

Reservations are required and tickets should be purchased by May 2 (TODAY). Members may bring guests. Checks payable to Wayne County Historical Society.

The speaker for the evening is Brooks McKinney, a geologist and professor at Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva. His topic is Cobblestones.

The meeting will include the President's Report and election of board members and officers for the coming year.
