Hoffman winners luncheon announced
The Luncheon will include presentation of the T. Spencer Knight Historical Awards and presentation of scholarship awards to the winners of the Hoffman Foundation Scholarship Essay Contest. Since 1977, the Hoffman Foundation Historical Awards Program has recognized individuals and organizations for their efforts on behalf of the preservation of Wayne County History. The 2000 recipients are Wiliam A. Armstrong, Allyn Hess Perry, and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The Hoffman Scholarship Essay Program has annually made grants to area students since 1954. This year, $8500 will be awarded in scholarships. The 2000 winners are: First Place - Kathryn Fairbanks, Williamson High School; 2nd Place - Kyle Furguson, Wayne Central High School; and Kelly Hill, Palmyra-Macedon High School.
