Memorial Day in Newark

Services were held Sunday in Newark for Memorial Day.

Events included the annual parade, the laying of the wreath in the canal (pictured), and ceremonies in Central Park.

Those participating included Mayor Fred Pirelli, the Rev. John Smith of New Hope Bible Church, the high school band, Sgt. Robert Pulino, U. S. Army, and Gold Star mother, Dolores Wagemaker, whose son, John R. Marsh, was killed in Vietnam.
