Veterans Day service planned in Newark

Newark's Veterans Day observance will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 11.

The parade will form on East Union Street across from the VFW post, and proceed to North Main St., then on to Central Park. Newark Mayor Fred Pirelli, LTC USAR (Retired) will provide over the ceremonies that will include special guests, music, recitation of Honor Rolls, and a firing party.

When the services conclude, there will be an Open House at both the VFW Post 2883, and the American Legion Post 286.
