Newark food collection a success

The ecumenical food collection (Trick or Treat for Something to Eat, and the Scavenger Hunt for Food) in Newark was a success. Three churches participated this year - Park Presbyterian, United Methodist and St. Michael's Catholic Church.

Items collected were donated to the Newark Food Closet and the Free Lunch Program. Thank you to the Newark residents who were generous. More than 85 youth and adults participated in this collection of over 50 boxes of food for the community.

Editor's Note: Don't forget - this Saturday, Scouts will pick up food bags left on your door last Saturday. Thanks to all who support our local food closets.
