Marion Library news

The Harvest Festival Book Sale was a giant success. Thanks to all who supported the sale. The total receipts amounted to $601. We believe this is an all-time high total for a one-day sale.

Thanks to Carolyn Adriaansen and the Historic Committee who worked so hard to sponsor this event. Thanks to the 4-H members and their mothers who worked at the sale. Judy Casler organized the work schedule and we are truly appreciative.

Our thanks are also extended to Wendy Duke and Heidi Jensen, Tupperware Representatives who sold Tupperware as a fund-raiser for the library. This being Election week, the theme of the library is Books get our Vote!

Stop to and see our window display, pick up a bookmark and a tote bag to celebrate election week.

November 13-18 is National Children's Book Week. We have several fun things planned at the library. We will be having a guessing game for all ages beginning Monday, November 13, and ending Saturday, November 18. Also, there will a Craft Program at 3:30 on Tuesday, November 14, for pre-school and elementary school kids. There is no registration, just drop by and take part in the craft program.

Have a good week. Read a book!
