I take it everyone survived all the Trick or Treaters. (I'm just glad to get all my favorite candy out of the house. Bowls of candy bars are just too much temptation for me!) My gosh, where is the time going? Before we know it, Thanksgiving will be here and the stores are already filled with Christmas things. The weather has been nice, a bit chilly in the mornings and nights, but at least it's not snowing.

Did you have a chance to go to the Big Book Sale at the Sodus Library this week?

pumpkin & chair Don't forget about all the fun during National Children's Book Week at the Williamson Library the l3th through the l9th of this month. The Swap Meet is from 5-7 p.m. for kids in 4th to 8th grade. Swap your old books, magazines, CD's, whatever you have. And get a free hot dog, chips and ice cream on Monday, Nov. 13. On Wednesday, Nov. l5, there's Pajama Storytime from 7 -7:30 p.m. Kids are invited to bring their parents, a special blankie, or stuffed animal and wear their pj's for 30 minutes of wonderful stories, fingerplays and creative dramatics, as well as milk and cookies afterward. For more information, feel free to call the library at 589.2048. Sounds like a lot of fun both nights!

more bunnies & pumpkins The Chorus of the Genesee is selling shrimp again and Al Dobbin has orders already. (That Al is quite the singing salesman.) I saw a man at a restaurant the other day with a jacket that said Chorus of the Genesee and I was so tempted to ask if he knew Al. (He probably would have asked if I wanted to buy some shrimp.) Al's daughter Sue tells me the shrimp are frozen, fully cooked, cleaned and deveined. And they have no tails to deal with either. Al and his daughter sold 236 bags last year. Sounds as if he's going for a record.

Tonight, the Sodus Point Fire Hall will be having their Turkey Party at 7 p.m. The Alton Fire Hall will be having their Turkey Party tomorrow at 6:30 p.m. and Fairville will have theirs on Monday at 7 p.m. And if you miss those, the Wallington Fire Department will be having one on Saturday, November l8 at 7 p.m. Wow! So many turkeys!
